Estela Ribeiro

Dr. Estela Ribeito has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Centro Universitário Fundação Santo André (2015). Master’s (2017) and Ph.D. (2020) in Electrical Engineering, in the area of Signal Processing, from Centro Universitário FEI. Post-doctorate (2023) at FMUSP in the Cardiopneumology department. She is currently a researcher at the Biomedical Informatics Laboratory of the Heart Institute (InCor) at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (HC-FMUSP). Her research focuses on the processing of biomedical signals, such as EEG, ECG, PPG, and X-ray, using machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.

João Henrique Gonçalves de Sá

João has a Master’s Degree in Health Informatics from the Federal University of São Paulo, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the Centro Universitário Adventista de São Paulo. He worked as a software developer in major companies such as HP, Compaq, Unilever, CPM Braxis, Embraer, Prodesp, and FMUSP. Began research activities at the Genius Research Institute. Won their first award at the IEEE Transactions Congress in Santa Catarina for the best scientific article.

Joseph Arturo Pena Quino

Joseph holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (2021) and completed high school at Colegio Parroquial Reina de las Américas (2014). He has experience in the field of Biomedical Engineering, with an emphasis on Medical Image Segmentation.

Pedro Bicas Couto

Ricardo da Silva Santos

A researcher and system developer with over 30 years of experience in software solutions, more than 25 of which are in healthcare. Passionate about solving complex problems faced by patients, doctors, and hospitals through innovative software solutions that improve healthcare quality. Throughout his career, he has developed and deployed over 25 software systems. An expert in health informatics, data science, knowledge representation, data mining technologies, big data, clinical and oncology protocols, and process mining. He has published more than 30 scientific papers and developed 27 innovation assets, including patents and software registrations. His academic background includes a postdoctoral degree in Intelligent Systems from ITA, a Ph.D. in Health Informatics from UNIFESP, two master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Information Technology, and a Bachelor’s in Information Technology. Additionally, he has 28 years of experience in higher education.

Yohan Bonescki Gumiel

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (2011), a Master’s degree in Production and Systems Engineering from the same institution (2015), and a Ph.D. in Health Technology (2020).

Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and the Heart Institute (INCOR) and serves as an assistant professor at PUC-PR. He has experience in Image Processing, Natural Language Processing, and Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on applications in the healthcare field.
